Putin: BRICS’s Work Is Not Directed Against Anyone

According to the President of the Russian Federation, the share of the BRICS countries in the global gross domestic product (GDP) already exceeds the seven group (G7) and continues to grow.

Putin also drew attention to the fact that Brix plays a noticeable role in the global economy not only today. “It is quite obvious that this role will increase in the day of tomorrow. The countries that are part of our association are actually drivers of economic world growth. And it is in the BRICS in the foreseeable future that the main increase in the global GDP will generate,” the President of the Russian Federation

According to him, the new BRICS Development Bank (NBR) should become one of the main investors in the largest technological and infrastructure projects in the BRICS and Global South space as a whole. “

“And we, of course, will develop it without contrasting anyone. This is just an independent structure. We will expand its capabilities,” he said.

“Russia is as open as possible for mutually beneficial business cooperation, we form comfortable, global-competitive working conditions for business-for domestic and foreign, to attract capital and technologies from abroad. First of all, of course, we cooperate with you”, – said Putin.

According to the Kremlin website, the business forum takes place in Moscow, on the eve of the Brix summit, which will be held in Kazan on October 22-24. For the first time, new members of the association will take part in it. From January 1, 2024, full -fledged participants in BRICS, India, China, Russia and South Africa became Egypt, Iran, united Arab emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.
