Putin changes plans for second time in week

Russian President Vladimir Putin abandoned the previously planned trip to the Titan-Polymer plant in the Pskov region due to “weather conditions”, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The trip was announced the day before, noting that it would be the last for Putin in 2022. However, the correspondent of “Kommersant” Andrei Kolesnikov wrote early in the morning that “such an idea” “” still or no longer.

This is the second trip that Putin canceled in a week. On Wednesday, December 21, the President of the Russian Federation was supposed to fly to the Urals for the first time since 2019 and visit the largest tank factory Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) in Nizhny Tagil. But at the last moment, Putin changed his plans and arrived on December 23 in Tula. There he held a meeting with the heads of organizations related to the defense system, writes The Moscow Times.

Putin, according to the sources of the publication, at the last minute abandoned the annual large press conference, since the security forces could not guarantee that there would be no attacks by Ukrainian drones during the conference.
