Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the fight against terrorism in the country with members of the Security Council.
As the written message of the Kremlin Palace, Putin held an online meeting with members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov, director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Alexander Bortnikov, head of the foreign intelligence service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin and members of the government.
Speaking in the part of the meeting open to the media, the president said that they would discuss the fight against terrorism, noting “this issue is how very important.”
Putin asked the Minister of Defense of Belousov to provide information on the implementation of an agreement with the United States on the termination of attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.
After the meeting of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, on March 18 it was announced that Russia and Ukraine had reached an agreement on the termination of attacks on energy infrastructure for 30 days.
The Kremlin said that in accordance with the agreement reached with the United States, an attack on such facilities as oil refineries and energy in Russia and Ukraine will be terminated.
