Putin instructed to find perpetrators for disruption of time of megaproject

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian government and Russian Railways to find responsible officials for the disruption of the deadlines on the Eastern Polygon (the expansion of Bamu and Transsib), writes Kommersant.

The Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation will check the surcharge to the Railways tariff over the target nature of their use, and the powerful agencies will appreciate the legality of the spending of the State institutions allocated to the eastern polygon. Russian Railways must find the perpetrators by July 1, the Accounts Chamber will check the megaproject until January 15.

The first stage of the Eastern Polygon was estimated at 520.5 billion rubles, the second was 719.8 billion (it may rise to 759.1 billion), the third stage is discussed. The source of the publication notes that it is necessary to blame those responsible for tightening the design and for the incorrect organization of work. There are also questions for general contractors, primarily to those responsible for the mechanism of their choice, he adds.
