Putin Invited CSTO Allies To Parade On May 9

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited leaders and military settlements of the countries of the Organization of Collective Security (CSTO) to the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which will be held next year in Moscow.

The Russian leader announced this at a meeting with the heads of parliaments of the CSTO countries.

The head of state emphasized the importance of the work of the countries of the organization on the preservation of historical truth. Putin recalled that at the past summit in Astana it was asslated to continue the joint work to promote the “perception of the general victory conquered in 1945 as a common value for all of humanity”.

CSTO is an international security organization, which are today six countries: RF, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

According to him, the CSTO countries must become leaders in defense technologies. And when regulating the Internet and migration processes, a balance between security issues and citizens’ rights must be observed.

According to the President of the Russian Federation, citizens of the CSTO countries should feel calm, confident and safe. added that migration processes should not interfere with the comfort of those people who live in a particular country on an ongoing basis.

“In the conditions of the current difficult international situation, an important task is leadership in defense technologies. It is necessary to work together on issues of standardization of weapons and military equipment, on the development of multilateral interaction of specific enterprises and entire industries associated with the defense sphere,” – He said.

The President also drew the attention of parliamentarians to the importance of supporting military-technical and military-economic cooperation.
