The mechanisms of demarcation and delimitation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be created before the end of the year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, summing up negotiations with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We agreed on a number of issues that I consider key. The first one is the creation of mechanisms, by the end of this year we agreed to do this, mechanisms for demarcation and delimitation of borders between the two states,” said the Russian leader.
“I hope that this will happen as quickly as possible, no obstacles to the creation of these mechanisms,” Putin pointed out.
The President of Russia declared that he was pleased with the results of the negotiations. “We have worked very constructively today, it was a deep analysis of the situation that was formed today,” said the head of state.
Putin thanked Aliyev and Pashinyan “for agreeing to come to Russia today and discuss the situation that develops at the moment in matters of settlement around the Karabakh problem and in general in the region.”
“gave proper work of our Russian peacekeepers, border guards, those specialists who are engaged in demining, ensure the return of people to permanent residence,” Putin emphasized.
In addition, he called a meeting with Aliyev and Pashinny useful and timely, expressing hope that the agreements would be observed.
