Russia last year increased the export of products of the agro -industrial complex (APC), despite the external restrictions, said Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday at a meeting on the progress of spring field work.
“Despite the barriers in foreign trade, Russia was able to increase the export of agro -industrial products to $ 41.6 billion last year,” said the head of state, noting that “growth is decent.”
According to him, as before, the Russian Federation is one of the key suppliers of agrarian products in the world and has established itself as a reliable, predictable partner. “That’s how we will act in the future. It is expected that according to the results of 2022-2023 of the agricultural year, grain export will be about 55-60 million tons,” the president added.
Putin noted that, “of course, it is necessary to take into account that now a fairly high supply of grain is observed on the world market, which exerts appropriate pressure on prices, affects the further plans of our agricultural producers.” “All this, of course, must be taken into account in order to exclude the decrease of sown areas under grain in the country in the future,” he stressed.
