Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he wanted to “spit” on the blocking of Russian states from social networks. The Siy Leader declared this in the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, RBC reports.
In his speech, Putin called similar situations with protests against the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and with the storm of the US Capitol with supporters of the US President Donald Trump.
Guideline Stanislav Nathanzon pointed out that, leading such a comparison, the head of the Russian state “rose to a dangerous path”: the words of the President of the Russian Federation can interpret as support for the storming of the Congress building and block the site Kremlin.ru in social networks.
“First, I immediately said that I did not think that it was good – you, apparently, inattentively listened. Secondly, I do not give estimates the event itself – I’m talking about what followed. A Thirdly, I wanted to do something that someone will blocked me: For me, another is more important – the confidence of the Russian people in the capacity in which I am now, “said Putin.
The assault capitol occurred in January of this year. On this day, Congress was supposed to approve the results of the presidential elections in the United States. Protesters – Trump supporters considered that the elections were dishonest, and the victory of Democrat Joe Bayden was illegal. Police dispersed protesters using tear gas and light grenades. The FBI opened more than 160 cases due to the happening, and the Ministry of Justice rated the consequences of the riots of $ 1.5 billion. Social networks – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitch – blocked Trump accounts.
