Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to achieve a new “big deal” with the West. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalyn, writes CNN.
“We believe, Putin wants to conclude a new big deal, a new agreement with the West. It partially concerns Ukraine, is undoubted. But a more global question is a new agreement between Russia and the Western world,” he said in an interview. /p>
According to the press secretary of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey, although he criticizes the Russian invasion and recent step of President Vladimir Putin to annexation of territories in Ukraine, maintains good relations with the Kremlin. In the summer, thanks to Ankara, an agreement was concluded that unlocked Ukrainian grain.
He also commented on the decision of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky not to negotiate with Vladimir Putin. A senior official believes that in the future negotiations may resume. “The question is, when exactly will we return to this and what damage would be done by that time?” – noted Ibrahim Kalyn.
