France President Emmanuel Macron said he would ask for clarifications from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin regarding Russia’s intentions in Ukraine during a telephone conversation on Friday. Macron said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor by Olaf Scholtsov in Berlin on Tuesday, reports European True with reference to the Reuters Agency.
Makron said he hoped that his telephone conversation with Putin on Friday would lead to a “demanding dialogue and clarification”.
Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized their support for Ukraine when communicating with the press and confirmed their position that Russia will pay a high price if attacks Ukraine. Two leaders made statements before renewing negotiations in the Norman format at the level of advisers who should meet in Paris on Wednesday.
