Quarantine regime softened in Azerbaijan 1 October

Since October 1, some limitations entered within the framework of adopted measures to prevent the proliferation of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan are removed in Azerbaijan. Such a decision took the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers on September 24.

According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, since October 1, it was decided to resume work:

– Recreation and entertainment centers (including clubs), as well as children’s entertainment institutions (including on boulevard and parks);

– objects of culture (including concert halls), as well as conference rooms, cinemas and theaters, subject to completion of 50%;

– children’s and other entertainment establishments in large shopping centers, including cinemas, subject to completion of no more than 50%.

All objects whose activities are restored, will be able to work until midnight.

Faces over 18 will have access to closed premises of these objects in the presence of a COVID passport. Those who for certain reasons cannot pass vaccination will have to make a certificate of contraindications.

All of the above objects are subject to the requirement of compulsory vaccination of 80% of all employees or their immune certificate, or a certificate of contraindication.

Public transport on the territory of Azerbaijan will be able to work on weekends. The activities of regular passenger automobile and rail traffic between cities and districts are also resumed. When carrying out regular passenger traffic by rail and road transport from cities and districts of Azerbaijan, with the exception of regular passenger traffic between Baku and Sumgait, the Absheron district, passengers, with the exception of persons under the age of 18, from October 1, 2021 should obtain the first dose of vaccine against COVID 19, and from November 1, 2021 – the second dose or have a certificate of immunity against COVID-19.
