Court of England and Wales on December 10 will decide on the extradition of the founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange in the United States. This is reported on the site of the court.
According to the report, the decision of the court in the case of the “US Government Against Assange” will be known on Friday at 10:15 (at 14:15 on Baku time).
In January 2021, the Westminster Magistrate Court refused the United States in the issuance of Assange. The court motivated his decision to fears for the mental health of the convict. Later, the US Department of Justice filed an appeal to this decision, insisting on the extradition of the founder of WikiLeaks. Now Assange is contained in the London Prison Belmarsh. In the United States, 18 criminal charges were nominated against him, according to which he faces up to 175 years in prison.
The US Ministry of Justice accuses the founder of WikiLeaks in collusion with the ex-informant of this organization Chelsea Manning with the goal of hacking nets of government computers to distribute secret military documents. Later the United States’s judicial authorities announced the decision to present additional charges to the founder of WikiLeaks at another 17 points.
