The situation in the region and the world, as well as the need to protect the territorial inviolability of the country, require Tajikistan to take measures to strengthen defense capabilities.
This is stated in the congratulation of the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the army of the republic.
“Events of recent years in the world encourage us to further take the necessary measures to bring the level of readiness of our armed forces and strengthen the defense power of the country in accordance with the requirements of the day. This requires the protection of independence, freedom and territorial inviolability of the country,” noted Rachmon.
On February 16, the Tajik leader instructed to speed up the technical re -equipment of the army and put 70 border facilities on the border with Afghanistan this year. He also demanded that the work aimed at counteracting threats of terrorism and extremism.
