Raisi offered Putin help

Iranian President Ibrahim Rasisi told his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin that the Islamic Republic was ready to play a “positive role” in the end of the war in Ukraine.

Raisi made this proposal during a telephone conversation with the head of the Russian state on Wednesday.

Iran, said Raisi, “is ready to play an active and constructive role in the cessation of hostilities and establish peace in the former Soviet Republic.”

He also added that “regional problems, including those that belong to the Caucasian region and Syria, can only be resolved by cooperation and coordination.”
