The camp residents complain about unemployment and high prices for products, calling for the cessation of the siege and the delivery of international humanitarian aid. To satisfy the daily needs for bread, in bakers often use animal food.
In an interview with Anadol, a resident of the camp Farham Hamad spoke about difficult life conditions in Rukban.
“We live with the family under the siege. For more than three months, flour does not come here. We can hardly feed the children. We urge the UN to help us in this sacred month,” he said.
Another resident of the camp Abdo Abu Muhammad also said that due to the blockade of this part of the south of Syria, it is not necessary for primary necessity.
“We need flour and bread. Last year, I sold three trays with sweets a day last year, and this year there is only a tray,” the man says.
