The court of appeal was held in the Baku Court of Appeal on the appeal of the former chairman of the supervisory board of Baku Steel Company Rasima Mammadov.
According to Haqqin.az, at a meeting, chaired by Judge Gabil Mammadov, defense petitioned for the creation of conditions for familiarizing themselves with the protocols of the court.
According to Mamedov’s lawyers, during the trial, no opportunity was created for them to get acquainted with the protocols.
The court granted the petition. By a court decision, the case was returned to the Baku court for serious crimes.
Recall, Racim Mammadov was detained by SGB officers. A criminal case was opened against him under Articles 308.2, 179.4, 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. On December 28, 2022, the Baku court for serious crimes sentenced Mammadov to 14 years in prison. Rasim Mamedov in turn did not find himself guilty.
