R&D Expenses In Field Of Space Research In Turkey Over 10 Years Have Grown 146 Times

The costs of research and development work (R&D) in Turkey in the field of “Research and use of space” over 10 years increased by about 146 times.

According to the selection compiled by an ANADOLA agency based on the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat), expenses for research activities in Turkey have increased 13 times over 10 years.

If in 2013 6.9 billion TL was spent on this sphere, then last year this amount reached 98.7 billion TL.

When analyzing the sub -sectors of research and developments, it was found that the costs of “research and use of space” over 10 years have increased by about 146 times.

In 2013, the expenses from the budget of the Central Government of Turkey for this industry amounted to 9 million 151 thousand 470 lire, and last year they increased to 1 billion 334 million 549 thousand 952 lire.

The share of expenses for the study and use of space in general allocations in 223 reached 1.4 percent.

It is expected that this year the costs of R&D in this area will exceed 2.2 billion lyre.

– R&D expenses have also increased in the field of education and agriculture

The budget allocated for research work in the field of agriculture has also increased in recent years.

So, if in 2013 the costs of this sphere amounted to 127 million 815 thousand 898 lire, then last year they reached 3 billion 850 million 76 thousand 692 lire. Thus, over 10 years, allocations allocated to this sphere have increased 30 times.

For comparison, in 2013, R&D expenses in the field of education amounted to 60 million 197 thousand 995 lire, then last year this amount increased to 2 billion 942 million 61 thousand 277 lire. R&D expenses in this area also increased by about 49 times.

The budget of R&D in the field of “Culture, entertainment, religion and mass communications” has also increased significantly. In this area in 2013, 1 million 842 thousand 407 lires were spent, and last year – 32 million 756 thousand 433 lira. Thus, R&D expenses in this area increased 18 times.
