In order to maintain water resources, it is necessary to give a second chance to re -use wastewater after preliminary processing. This opinion is shared by the teacher of the technical university of Bursa, the dean of the Faculty of the Maritime and Vice -Rector, Professor Sinan Uyanyk.
In the seventh part of its news dossier on the topic “Water” Agency Anadolu “focused on the importance of re -use of wastewater in order to protect water resources.
The question of reducing available water resources increasingly began to appear on the agenda against the background of urbanization, increase greenhouse gas emissions, climate change and industrialization.
In an interview with Anadolu, Uyanik said that the sewage water includes water that fall into the environment from the territories of industrial enterprises and settlements through the sewage system or a self -set.
“In order to re -use contaminated wastewater and give it a second chance, it is necessary to skip it through a specific cleaning system,” said the professor.
Uyanik noted that the re -use of purified wastewater is of great importance for maintaining water resources, preventing coastal pollution and irrigation in the agricultural sector. According to the professor, due to re -use of wastewater, you can get additional resources, especially in regions with a low level of precipitation and lack of water.
In addition, Uyanik, as an alternative, attracted attention to the method of desalination of sea water. However, according to him, this method requires large energy costs. “Warbar cleaning is a more environmentally friendly method,” he added.
Speaking about the use of wastewater treatment methods in Turkey, the Uzhanik reported that one of these initiatives was implemented in Kodjai Province.
