Gazprom almost twice reduced gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine in the period on January 1-9 – up to 54 million cubic meters, which is 55% less compared to the last decade of December 2021. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the data of the Slovak gas transmission operator Eustream.
According to the sources of publication, the reduction of gas supplies is unlikely to be associated with a decrease in industrial activity, since the volume of delivery was also about 50% more.
Interlocutors of publication on the gas market called thaw the main cause of delivering supply. Because of warming, European consumers were able to drastically reduce the rise of gas from storages, and in the period from December 30 to January 2, the injection even exceeded the selection. However, by now the level of European fuel reserves fell below 54%.
