The thermometer columns in a number of regions of France on August 21 rose to the mark above 42 degrees. Thus, on August 21 it became the hottest day this year in this country.
According to French meteorological services, the air temperature in the Rona River Valley in the south of France rose to 42.7 degrees Celsius. Thus, the highest temperature regime was reached this year.
In the vicinity of Pui-Sen-Martin and Droom, the air temperature warmed up to 42.5 degrees.
At the same time, the “Red” has already been declared in the four French departments – the maximum level of danger, while in 46 departments there is an “orange” hazard level.
It is expected that the air temperature will grow until the middle of the week, in particular in the southern regions of the country.
