Regional And Municipal Elections Have Ended In Russia

Three -day elections have ended in Russia. The last plots closed in the western region of the country – the Kaliningrad region – at 20:00 local time (21:00 Moscow time).

In 83 of 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, governors, mayors and deputies of different levels were chosen. In particular, in Moscow, a vote took place in the elections of deputies of the City Duma, in St. Petersburg – the governor and municipal deputies, in Tatarstan and Sevastopol – deputies of regional parliaments.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and Crimea, deputies of local parliaments choose the heads of regions. In 25 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, voters could have a voice remotely, using online voting.

Russian President Vladimir Putin voted online in the elections to the Moscow City Duma.

He noted that the formation of authorities at various levels remains a particularly significant process for political stability. This, according to him, has the maximum value in the current agenda.
