As part of the Istanbul Energy Forum, a ministerial session was held on the topic “Calls and opportunities for a sustainable future.”
The Istanbul Energy Forum is organized by the Anadola agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.

The heads of energy departments noted the importance of regional cooperation and strategic partnership to ensure energy security. It was stated that safe supplies of energy resources are crucial for sustainable development.
Alparslan Bayractar emphasized that the energy market is faced with such challenges as the threat of sustainability, geopolitical conflicts, and supply problems. “There is a need for innovations. We need a thorough assessment of the infrastructure and advanced technologies available at our disposal. At the same time, the current situation with capital complicates the investment in infrastructure. Energy markets are experiencing a difficult period. However, I believe that we can overcome these obstacles, By designating the common goals for our common future, ”he said.
The Minister emphasized the inadmissibility of ignoring the preserved role of oil and gas. According to him, economic development and energy security should be maintained by focusing on supplies chains. “Energy problems go beyond borders. Our countries can achieve more sustainable and safe solutions through innovative approaches, investments and partnerships. Only in this way we can complete the process of a balanced and fair energy transformation,” Bayractar said
Vice Prime Minister of the Government and the Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili, in turn, emphasized the significance of regional solidarity and cooperation to ensure energy security.
“At the same time, we should not forget about investments in the sector of renewable energy sources. Ensuring energy security is important to the stability of any economy of any country is a very important condition for development,” said Davitashvili.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto regarded the security of energy supply, the issue of national security.
“The security of energy supply is a condition for independence. The energy supply should not be influenced by ideology and politics,” the minister stressed.
