Religious Fund Of Turkey (TDV) Helped 8.5 Thousand

The Religious Fund of Turkey (TDV) was assisted by 8.5 thousand inhabitants of South Sudan in connection with the sacred month of Ramazan.

This was announced by the Coordinator of the Fund in South Sudan Ahmet Hilal at an event organized in courses on the study of the Qur’an near the capital of the country, the city of Juba.

Hilal said that the Fund has been operating in South Sudan for 5 years. According to him, helping Jubu and his surroundings, in the camps of refugees, orphan houses and at the study courses, iftars were organized (conversation, evening meal for Ramazan) for 5 thousand people.

In addition, the representative of the fund added that 3 thousand in need of Sudanese received grocery rations, and 500 children – objects of clothing for the upcoming holiday, which will come with the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

The event was also attended by the Turkish ambassador to Juba Metin Ergin. The head of the diplomatic mission told Anadol that there is a centuries -old unity between Turkey and the people of South Sudan.

He attracted attention to the fact that Turkey continues to support South Sudan since the acquisition of independence. “It is very important to share something with the population of South Sudan on the occasion of Ramazan. The most sacred part of Ramazan is to share each other,” the ambassador said.

“Clothing, food and Iftar for students – orphans from South Sudan – this is the symbolic activity of TDV, which further strengthens our connections,” Ergin added.
