The Report agency erroneously disseminated information about the pardoning by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev of the terrorist who set off an explosion in the Baku subway.
In particular, the agency reported that Azer Aslanov was on the list of those pardoned by the president, who in 1994 set off an explosion on a train between the 28 May and Ganjlik metro stations. Then, as a result of the explosion, 13 people were killed and 42 were injured.
The information spread in a matter of minutes on social networks and caused bewilderment among the Azerbaijani public.
The agency later issued a denial, admitting that it had made a mistake.
