The National Anti -Doping Agency of Azerbaijan (Amada), which is actively involved in anti -doping activity at the international level, continues to contribute to this direction. Amada Director Shafag Huseynli was appointed to the assessment delegation created to monitor the observance of the anti -doping convention conducted by the Council of Europe together with the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA).
This monitoring was carried out in Portugal on November 22-24 as part of the verification of the compliance of local legislation and the activities of the anti-doping convention of the Council of Europe. In addition to the representative of Azerbaijan, AMADA director Shafag Huseynli, representatives of the Secretariat of the Council of Europe, WADA, as well as Cyprus, France, Poland and Belgium were appointed to the assessment delegation.
As part of the visit, the delegation held a meeting with state bodies for youth and sports, judicial police and customs authorities, the National Anti -Doping Organization, the Sports Arbitration Court and the Disciplinary Committee, as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Committee and National Sports Federations.
During bilateral meetings, the legislation of the country, the structure and activities of the National Anti -Doping Agency, the anti -doping activities of state institutions and sports organizations, as well as the state measures to prevent the use and spread of doping were discussed. The final report on the conformity of the Portuguese anti -doping legislation and the anti -doping activity of the anti -doping convention will be submitted to the Council of Europe.
It should be noted that Shafag Huseynli previously headed the monitoring delegation, which evaluated the correspondence of the Netherlands of the anti -doping convention of the Council of Europe, and was also presented in a similar mission in Cyprus. These facts indicate the trust and reputation of Amada at the international level in the field of combating doping.
