The negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is one of the important issues of the agenda of the US Secretary of State Blinken. This was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried in an interview with the Armenian service “Voice of America”.
“We believe that both sides are committed to this process. We are ready to assist in every possible way, realizing that the complex decisions that need to be made to achieve peace should be made both in Baku and Yerevan,” Donfried said.
According to her, this includes a discussion of numerous complex issues, including the demarcation of the border and the resumption of transport links between countries.
Donfried noted that the United States maintain a direct dialogue between the parties and emphasizes its necessity, since this is the only way to achieve complex issues.
