The representative office of Azerbaijan at NATO accused Yerevan of promoting false narratives about the situation around the Lachinsky road, where the environmental action continues, explaining the actions of Armenia with despair due to the lack of the possibility of its use for illegal activities, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
“Armenia promotes many false narratives to distort reality in the field … It is clear why Armenia was so desperate, because the Lachinsky road is no longer available for its illegal activity, the plunder of Azerbaijan’s natural resources, the transfer of weapons and personnel, as it should have been and should have to be in accordance with the spirit and the letter of a tripartite statement (dated November 10, 2020), ”the statement said.
The country’s representative office in NATO emphasized that “the Lachinsky road is the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, which agreed to use it exclusively for humanitarian purposes in accordance with the sixth -sided statement and even in less than two years commissioned a new road.”
“Azerbaijan conscientiously fulfilled all the obligations taken, and Armenia from the first days uses the Lachinsky road for illegal activities. Armenia also did not open all transport communications in the region, which is a gross violation of the ninth point of a tripartite statement,” the representative office emphasized NATO.
“Armenia used the Lachinsky road for illegal transfer of weapons and personnel. Armenia at first denied, and then was forced to recognize the illegal presence of her armed forces in the territory of Azerbaijan, which, inter alia, violates the fourth point of a trilateral statement,” they said in representative office.
