Romania is ready to accept citizens of Azerbaijan who want to leave Ukraine due to the situation in this country, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports.
“Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who have faced a serious danger, can leave the territory of Ukraine and go to Romania in the following order:
– Citizens of Azerbaijan can enter the territory of Romania through border points between the two countries – “Halmeu”, “Siegetu”, Marmation and Syret.
– Citizens arriving in the Republic of Moldova from Ukraine can enter Romania through the border points “Styanka”, “Zolar”, “Albita”, “Ohancha”, “Galatz” and “Isaccha” between Moldova and Romania.
– Taking into account the fact that citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan leave the territory of Ukraine in connection with the conflict, the Romanian side temporarily abolished the visa regime for transit through the country’s territory. At the same time, citizens of Azerbaijan should present a travel document (passport or a return certificate) at the border checkpoint.
– Romanian side will not necessarily require a COVID passport and negative PCR test for COVID-19 from citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who want to cross the land border.
In connection with the issues, citizens can contact the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania by phone +407 487 77744, +407 409 90079 and emailed [email protected]
