Rosatom reached the second place in the world in reserves of Uranus after the acquisition of the Budyonnovsky deposit in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the General Director of the State Corporation Alexei Likhachev at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The head of Rosatom at the meeting said that the state corporation would like to start work in Obninsk to create a large cluster of international nuclear education. “He is very profitably located relative to Moscow, airports. There are our institutions,” Likhachev noted and asked for the approval of the president.

He also noticed that in the fall in Obninsk it is planned to hold a large scientific conference, to which “about 50 countries are directed by their young representatives along the nuclear line.” “A very important task is to work with them, to influence the processes in the world, but the no less important task is to educate our own.
