Roscosmos and the US National Aeronautics and Space Studies (NASA) National Directorate for the International Space Station (ISS) continue to cooperate after the new administration arrived in the United States. This was reported to Izvestia in the press service of the Russian state corporation.
The implementation of the ISS program continues in accordance with previously reached agreements and signed international documents. The Russian side fulfills all the obligations taken, and working contacts with NASA are maintained on a regular basis, noted in Roscosmos.
“Our representatives participate in the work of technical working groups. We take part in meetings on operating readiness and readiness for flights in preparing launches of transport freight and manned ships (both Russian and American). We participate in meetings of the multilateral coordinating council under the ISS program Starting from 2022, Russian-American interaction for crossing the ISS has been continuing, ”the press service of the state corporation said.
In May 2024, Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov said that now the cooperation of Russia and the United States in Cosmos was actually reduced only to collaboration as part of the ISS.
