Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and Forced Migrants Rzrovan Rzaev received correspondent for the authoritative British newspaper Financial Times Isle Gin Yakli.
Roshan Rzaev informed the journalist about the state policy held under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the field of working with refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan. It was noted that the solution of the problems of this category of people is one of the priorities of the social policy of the head of state. The first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva also exhibits great care and attention to people who were expelled from their native land.
It was noted that the absolute majority of internally displaced persons want to return to the territory liberated from the occupation – at a permanent place of residence. The return process will begin after ensuring security and decent living conditions in these areas.
Roshan Rzaev added that Armenia, turning the territory occupied by it, sought to destroy the material and spiritual heritage of the Azerbaijani people, created over the centuries in East Zangezore and Karabakh. It was emphasized that an objective, accurate and impartial approach of authoritative and well-known journalists is an important condition for bringing the truth about the occupation and its consequences to the world community, as well as the situation that established after the military-political victory of Azerbaijan.
Ayla Yakli noted that in the last two days she traveled through liberated territories. In particular, she visited Agdam, Fizuli and Shushe.
Then there were answers to the questions of interest to the journalist.
