Buckingham Palace has issued an official statement regarding the interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This is reported by The Guardian.
“The whole family was saddened after fully learning how difficult the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the royal family said in a statement.
On Monday, March 8, CBS aired the first joint interview that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave after moving to the United States. They talked about racist remarks by members of the royal family and harassment in the British press.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have ceased to act as members of the British royal family on April 1, 2020. To be eligible to move to the United States, work and do business, they had to abandon the “Your Royal Highness” appeal, government funding and the Sussex Royal trademark. After signing a deal with Netflix, Harry and Meghan have achieved financial independence from the royal family.
