The Dominican Republic plans to establish the supply of rum, coffee, avocado and cigars through third countries to Russia, including through Armenia, Hans Dunnenberg’s ambassador told the Russian media in Moscow.
“We export a lot of coffee to Russia. When tourists began to go to the Dominican Republic, they really liked our coffee, and they even began to place advertisements in Russian at the airport with a link where this coffee can be bought in Moscow. Now it is also sold, too, But it costs more expensive, about twice, this year, the volume has been reduced due to difficulties in logistics. But now we are trying to establish the supply of coffee through Yerevan or Almaty, ”the ambassador said.
He noted that coffee can also be imported through Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and rum through Armenia.
“We are looking for ways for export, we will go to Tashkent to establish coffee supply through Uzbekistan. But you might think to use Yerevan for the export of our cigars, tobacco, rum and avocado,” Dunnenberg added.
