Russian President Vladimir Putin approved changes to the Criminal Code (Criminal Code) of the Russian Federation, according to which periods of mobilization and martial law are recognized as aggravating circumstances in the commission of crimes. The relevant law is published on the official portal of legal information.
Also, according to changes, imprisonment is introduced for the military refusal to participate in hostilities, punishment up to 10 years in prison for the military for voluntary surrendering and up to 15 years in prison for desertion during mobilization or wartime.
