Russia and Azerbaijan agreed to expand cooperation in field of food safety

As part of an official visit to the Russian Federation, led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov between the two countries, with the aim of expanding cooperation, documents were signed, reports haqqin.az.

Documents related to the sphere of food security are “Agreement between the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in the Verinary Cooperation”, the signing of which will contribute to the expansion of animal trading and animal products between two countries, protection of the territories of the two countries from infectious diseases during the import and export of animals and animal products, taking timely measures to prevent the occurrence and distribution of animal diseases, as well as the Protocol on the transition to the integration of information systems in the field of plant quarantine between the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary supervision of the Russian Federation and the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan “, which will allow to exchange information on phytosanitary certificates to ensure the mutual supply of plant products between the parties, to carry out bots to create the possibility of using electronic phytosanitary certificates in exporting and importing plant products, as well as exchange information by integrating AGTIS and FGIS “Argus-Phyto” systems.
