Russia And China Are Planning 5 Joint Flights To Create Station On Moon

Russia and China plan to carry out 5 joint flights into space in order to create a station for scientific research on the moon.

The intergovernmental agreement signed between Russia and China is published in the official Internet portal of legal information of Russia.

In an agreement containing information on the project of the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), which countries plan to jointly create, it is said that the station will be created in 3 stages.

According to the agreement, at the first stage, research will be conducted on the development of the moon, at the second – joint research on the moon and in space, and at the third stage people will be sent to the finished station.

as part of an agreement that will support participation in the draft other countries, Russia and China plan to implement 5 joint flights into space.

In 2021, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA) on the creation of a joint station for conducting research on the Moon.

President of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov stated on March 5 that Russia and China are planning to place a nuclear power unit on the Moon in 2033-2035.
