“The new road along the Lachinsky corridor, which connects Armenia and the territory of Azerbaijan, where Armenians live, will open on April 1, 2023.” This statement was made by Denis Gonchar Foreign Ministry of the Russian Foreign Ministry of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
He noted that the main result of the efforts taken over the past month was to achieve a general understanding that the new road alternative to the Lacquesky corridor will begin to function from April 1, 2023.
“At the same time, from August 30, the movement is carried out on a temporary route to the detour of the city of Lachin and other settlements located within the track zone,” he said in an interview with the Russian media.
According to the diplomat, as a result of an agreement between Baku and Yerevan, the resettlement of residents of settlements located within the old corridor highway was completed.
He noticed that Russian peacekeepers relocated to the temporary road, and by April 1, 2023 they will move to a new route.
