The head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, one of the participants in the negotiations with Ukraine Leonid Slutsky said on Friday that the resumption of negotiations depends on the position of Kyiv. It is reported by TASS.
“I do not exclude that the negotiation process will resume, it today depends on those who participate in negotiations from Kyiv,” Slutsky told reporters after the conference of the Moscow branch of the party.
He added that very often representatives of the Ukrainian side, after reaching agreements, “roll back”.
On May 4, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the negotiation process of Russia and Ukraine is underway without dynamics. The representative of the Kremlin emphasized that Kyiv is changing its position every day. He also noted that the inconsistent position of Ukraine does not give confidence that the negotiation process may be effective.
