Due to the sanctions of the West against Moscow, farmers from Ecuador are experiencing problems with the supply of bananas to Russia. It is reported by Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
According to the newspaper, Russia is one of the main buyers of Ecuadorian bananas: 20 percent of the export of this fruit is sent to it. However, anti-Russian sanctions and congestion in European ports led to the fact that shipping companies stopped supplies to Russia. Because of this, some manufacturers are forced to give bananas for a scentual or for nothing that the fruits do not disappear.
with a similar problem also collided Ecuadorian suppliers of colors, as well as manufacturers of meat from Paraguay, in which Russia is the second largest buyer.
