Some of the cruise missiles used by the Russian Federation for attacks on the infrastructure of Ukraine in November were carried out a few months after the Western countries imposed sanctions designed to deprive Moscow of the components necessary for the production of this weapon, writes The New York Times.
This conclusion was reached by the experts of Conflict Armament Research – the group based in the UK, which identifies and monitors weapons and ammunition used in wars.
They studied the wreckage of the X-101 cruise missiles found in Kyiv after the Russian attack on November 23. According to the group’s report on Monday, one of the missiles was made this summer, the other after September, as evidenced by the corresponding marking.
This concludes that Russia has found channels for the acquisition of semiconductors bypassing anti -Russian sanctions.
