Russian and Vietnamese Armed Forces will hold military exercises to “develop non-standard solutions when performing tasks” and improving the skills of commander and headquarters, the name “Continental Union – 2022” proposed. It is reported by the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO), reports TASS.
“For the first time at the headquarters of the Eastern Military District, a conference was organized and held a conference on planning a joint Russian-Vietnamese military exercise. The meeting of delegations took place on video calls,” said in the message.
Russia was represented by the head of the Regional Center for the Office General Major Sergey Lagutkin and the head of the Department of International Military Cooperation Colonel Ivan Tarayev. Vietnam represented Major General Don Din Thhan and military officers.
Representatives of Moscow and Hanoi agreed on the timing and venue of military exercises and agreed on the subject of the upcoming maneuvers.
