Russian exports of agricultural products in 2020 became a record in modern history, RBC reports with reference to the federal center “Agroexport” of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
So, last year, 79 million tons of agricultural products and food were delivered abroad for $ 30.7, which is 20% higher than in 2019, both in monetary and physical terms.
Food from Russia was supplied to 150 countries, the largest importers were China, Turkey and Kazakhstan, the report says.
The Ministry of Agriculture explained the record deliveries by the “high rates of development” of the Russian agro-industrial complex in all key areas, despite the pandemic and unfavorable weather conditions.
