The total volume of imports of oil and oil products in Turkey in March 2023 increased by 7.27 percent compared to the same month of 2022 – up to 4 million 967 thousand 559 tons.
This is evidenced by the data on the regulation of the energy market of Turkey.
The import of raw oil, which makes up the largest article in the total volume of Turkish oil import, decreased by 5.22 percent – to 2 million 528 thousand 964 tons. The purchase of diesel fuel increased by 48.3 percent – to 1 million 145 thousand 25 tons. The rest of the imports was compiled by aviation and ship fuel, gasoline, fuel oil and other oil refining products.
The main exporter of oil and oil products to Turkey became Russia – 1 million 843 thousand 87 tons. Following is Iraq – 843 thousand 763 tons and Kazakhstan – 576 thousand 816 tons.
