Russia heads list of oil and oil products suppliers to Turkey 29 July

The total volume of imports of oil and oil products in Turkey in May 2023 increased by 11.12 percent compared to the same month of 2022 – up to 4 million 263 thousand 624 tons.

This is evidenced by the data on the regulation of the energy market of Turkey.

The import of raw oil, which makes up the largest article in the total volume of Turkish oil import, decreased by 17.11 percent – to 2 million 462 thousand 848 tons.

The purchase of diesel fuel increased by 126.23 percent – to 1 million 289 thousand 84 tons. The rest of the imports was compiled by aviation and ship fuel, gasoline, fuel oil and other oil refining products.

The main exporter of oil and oil products to Turkey became Russia – 2 million 301 thousand 973 tons. Following is Iraq – 957 thousand 989 tons and Kazakhstan – 439 thousand 31 tons.
