In August, Saudi Arabia overtook Russia on oil supplies to China, despite the fact that the PRC significantly increased the import of raw materials from Russia, reports Reuters.
Russia put 8.34 million tons of raw materials to its largest oil buyer last month. Export grew by 28 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
At the same time, the volume of supplies from Saudi Arabia reached 8.47 million tons, or 1.99 million barrels per day. August indicators exceeded the level of last year by five percent. From January to August 2022, the state shipped 58.31 million tons of crude oil to China compared to 55.79 million tons that Russia was delivered.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, Saudi Arabia remains the main supplier of fuel to China.
