Russia: number of migrants from Uzbekistan decreased six times

An organized set of labor migrants from Uzbekistan to Russia compared to last year has decreased from the beginning of 2022 by almost six times. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the agency for external migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic.

According to the agency, 3 thousand 906 Uzbekists have left for Russia since the beginning of the year, while in the first six months of last year 22 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan entered the Russian Federation for the same purpose.

It was previously reported that from January to June 2022, about 370 labor migrants returned to Uzbekistan from abroad – 2.2 times more compared to last year.
