The Russian military plan massive infantry attacks similar to those that the Soviet Union practiced during the Second World War, said Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with The New York Times.
According to him, Russia has already gained and teaches soldiers who can be involved in massive infantry attacks. Podolyak called this one of several possible threats that Ukraine may encounter from the Russian Federation in the winter months.
“The political leadership of Russia clearly refuses to recognize the tactical defeats that have already taken place and clings to any, even the most ghostly chances to change the situation in its favor,” says Podolyak.
Earlier, the highest military and political leadership of Ukraine warned that Russia was collecting troops and weapons in order to start a new ground offensive in the spring, which will most likely include a second attempt to capture Kyiv.
