Russia requested meeting of UN Security Council

Russia requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on December 9 in connection with the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation at the UN Vasily Neenzya said. Russian media write about this.

According to him, Russia “is ready for diplomatic settlement in Ukraine to eliminate the reasons forced to start a special operation.”

At the same time, Nebenzya noted that Russia will continue to strike the infrastructure of Ukraine.

At the same time, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow “is ready to return to the discussion of security guarantees if the West is ready.”

Ryabkov added that “a further expansion of NATO will receive a compensating response from Russia.”
