The volume of oil transportation from Russia by the sea has grown to 3.6 million barrels per day, which is the highest rate from the beginning of June. This is due to the fast introduction of a partial EU embargo for the export of Russian oil, Bloomberg notes.
The export of Russian oil took off to the maximum values in the last five months. This is due to the imminent entry into force of the ban on such supplies from the EU, Bloomberg reports.
According to the agency, the volume of cargo transportation has grown to 3.6 million barrels per day, which is the highest rate from the beginning of June.
The largest growth, both in natural and percentage, was observed in shipments from the terminal in Murmansk, Bloomberg points out. It is noted that the path from Murmansk to the destination in Asia longer than from terminals in the Baltic or Black Seas.
In addition, the vessels transporting Russian oil become “more careful” in relation to their destination – they leave Russian ports without revealing the destination, the agency writes.
