Russia took leading positions among oil suppliers to India in June, reports The Economic Times, citing sources.
According to the publication, the tracking of tankers delivering oil to India indicates that Russia, quite possibly, has become the largest oil supplier to this one of the world’s largest importers of hydrocarbon raw materials. In confirmation, the publication provides data from the KPLER analytical company in accordance with which the supply of Russian oil to India in June reached an average of 1.2 million barrels per day, which amounted to a quarter of all oil entered the country during this period. Daily supplies of hydrocarbons to India from Iraq in June were 1.1 million barrels, the daily level of such supplies from Saudi Arabia reached 662 thousand barrels. Due to the increase in the share of Russia, the total supply of oil from Iraq and Saudi Arabia to India has decreased by about 500 thousand barrels per day since April.
